Blown HOT
When the HOT goes on this monitor, replacing it will bring the monitor back, but for a short time. It seems that a systemic failure occurs, causing it to repeatedly blow. The cause and fix is not yet known.
This could be because the HOT is not a commonly-available part, and current “new old stock” could be lower-quality/B-stock parts, as there have been successful repairs after repeatedly blowing the HOT previously.
